Hilton Head Distillery was founded by two world class, small batch distilleries that came together to create something truly unique. Both teams brought their respective expertise in Carolina whiskey and Caribbean rum to the table, sharing stories, traditions, and techniques along the way. The result was the creation of an innovative facility where Caribbean rum fuses with American whiskey. Because of its shared history with both of these spirits, as well as its geographic location, we saw Hilton Head Island as the perfect “halfway point” between rum and whiskey.
Our distillation system was custom made to produce the highest quality products with the best possible flavor profile. We measure, cut, and blend every element with a careful, artisanal hand, using age-old distillation techniques to inform our craft. We source the world’s finest ingredients from around the world as the foundation for our spirits, and produce each one in small, highly controlled batches.
Join us at our Cardinal Road facility on Hilton Head Island for a captivating experience. We offer the following activities for our guests to enjoy:
Distillery Tour and Tasting
Guests are invited to spend about 45 minutes with a tour guide, learning about the history of rum, the story behind our company, and the intricate details of the distillation process. This activity costs $15 per person and includes a full tasting flight, plus a souvenir shot glass.
Distillery Tours and Tastings are offered every hour, on the hour. We ask that guests arrive 10 minutes before the start of the activity. Tours will leave no later than 5 minutes after the hour; those who arrive late will be asked to wait until the next tour time. For those guests who are pressed for time, we offer a tasting flight of our products, plus a souvenir shot glass, for $5 per person. Tastings are offered throughout the day on a first come, first serve basis.
